(MC 2035) ESL in Social Media

ESL, or the Electronic Sports League, is an international organisation which facilitates competition on various levels over various gaming titles. 

In social media, specifically Twitter, they have various accounts attaining to their different titles but their main account (@ESL) has almost 700,000 followers. Their presence within Twitter has grown over many years with recent growth being because of expanding into new titles, such as Blizzard’s Overwatch, as well as running competitions and giveaways at events via Twitter.

When putting tweets out either to advertise events or update the public during events, they use a variety of info-graphics, videos, memes and gifs in order to gain engagements. Due to the audience being between 16 and 25, these short, eye catching tweets catch the audiences attentions and get the information across in an effective manner.

The tweet below is from July at the end of one of the biggest events ever, and gained a considerable number of engagements.
